Synopsis
Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle-earth is a collection of stories and essays by J. R. R. Tolkien that he left incomplete at his death, edited and published by his son Christopher Tolkien in 1980. Presented largely as Tolkien left them rather than smoothed into a single narrative, the pieces expand on topics such as the origins of the wizards, the founding of Rohan, and the history of Numenor.
