Synopsis
Set in the late Nara period, orphaned cousins raised as twins in the Takeshiba clan are separated when one flees to the northern Ezo lands and uncovers his mother's hidden heritage, pursued by the other alongside a military commander. In the imperial capital, vengeful spirits threaten the crown prince, and his sister disguises herself as a young man to fight the supernatural threat alongside a young aristocrat. The two journeys converge on an inherited spiritual power that could save, or doom, both the imperial court and the Ezo people.
