Synopsis
The third novel in the Others series follows Meg, a cassandra sangue or blood prophet, as she settles further into her role as the Lakeside Courtyard's Human Liaison, a position that puts her at the center of daily dealings between the Others and the human residents nearby. Meg also tries to help other blood prophets, still held elsewhere in the exploitative system she herself escaped, adjust to a newfound freedom they have never previously experienced, even as the wider human world grows increasingly uneasy about how much influence the Others truly hold over human affairs, territory, and the fragile truce keeping outright conflict at bay.
