Synopsis

Visions of Flesh and Blood is a companion volume to the Blood and Ash and Flesh and Fire series rather than a continuation of either main plot. Framed through the perspective of the minor character Miss Willa, it gathers in-world reference material, artwork, and a set of original short stories set within the same world of Atlantia, the Shadowlands, and the primal courts. Rather than advancing Poppy's or Sera's overarching stories, the compendium fills in background detail, side perspectives, and worldbuilding texture around the established cast and settings, giving readers additional context on the series' history, its primal hierarchy, and smaller character moments that sit alongside, rather than within, the main sequence of novels.

Notes

  • A bridging novella connecting the Flesh and Fire prequel series to the main Blood and Ash arc.
  • From the series record (Flesh and Fire): A prequel series set generations before the main arc, following Seraphena, a maiden destined to seduce and destroy the Primal of Death; still being published as of 2026, with further volumes expected to connect the two series' timelines.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
