Synopsis

Joanne Walker, a Seattle police detective with shamanic powers, has stopped trying to save the world and is settling into a calmer life, including a new relationship. Then Halloween arrives and the dead start to rise. Ghosts and zombies appear, and the Wild Hunt is loose again. Her mentor, Coyote, is missing, so she cannot ask him what to do. Someone or something has cast a spell that brought the dead back, and Joanne has to find a way to break it before the city is overrun. There is no handbook for dealing with the walking dead, so she has to work it out as the night goes on.
