Synopsis

Wayward Witch, published by Zoraida Cordova in 2020, concludes the Brooklyn Brujas trilogy, centering on the youngest Mortiz sister, Rose. On the night of her own Deathday ceremony, Rose and her father are unexpectedly pulled through a portal into Adas, a hidden fairy kingdom neither of them knew existed. There Rose is recognized and welcomed as Lady Siphon, one of the kingdom's Guardians, a role tied to abilities she is only beginning to understand, while her father is taken captive by Adas's ruler. Left to navigate an unfamiliar realm largely on her own, Rose must gather companions and undertake a quest to free her father and protect Adas from a destructive force spreading through it, all while uncovering long-buried secrets her father had kept hidden from his daughters about his own connection to this world.

Notes

  • From the series record (Brooklyn Brujas): YA urban fantasy inspired by the author's Ecuadorian heritage, following a Latin American brujeria family in Brooklyn across three books, each narrated by a different sister.
