Synopsis
Jenna is now the White Queen, and Skada, the Dark Queen, remains bound to her as the other half of herself. Skada was drawn from a mirror by magic, vanishes in daylight, and walks only in moonlight or lamplight. The uprising begun in the first book carries on across the Dales as the two sisters lead it. Myths are turned real, ordinary people become heroes, and the land is turned inside out by the coming of White Jenna. The book follows the sisters through the war and its aftermath in the Dales.
