Synopsis
Wicked Bronze Ambition, the fourteenth Garrett P.I. novel, finds Garrett engaged to Strafa Algarda and under pressure from her formidable family to look into a dangerous magical tournament taking shape in TunFaire. Word has it that someone is organizing an underground Tournament of Swords, a brutal contest that magically compels the children of sorcerers to fight one another until only one remains, with the winner absorbing magical power from the defeated and potentially becoming something like a demigod. The Algardas, accustomed to getting what they want, expect Garrett to identify and stop whoever is running the tournament before it can claim Strafa's daughter Kevans, even though the organizer seems nearly impossible to trace.
