Synopsis
Wizards at War, eighth novel in the Young Wizards series, opens with the emergence of the Pullulus, a spreading surge of dark matter that threatens to engulf the universe and strips every adult wizard of their powers, leaving only young wizards able to resist it. As the crisis unfolds, the young wizards learn of a single possible countermeasure, referred to only as an instrumentality, said to be the sole means of halting the Pullulus before it reaches Earth. Guided in part by the tracking abilities of Kit's dog Ponch, the group sets out across the galaxy to locate and activate this mysterious weapon, while Dairine and her ally Roshaun consult the enigmatic mobiles of the Motherboard for further answers.
