Synopsis
A close sequel to Wolf's Search. Blind Seer and Firekeeper travel to Rhinadei to help their new teacher, Wythcombe, hunt Kabot, a fanatical blood mage and Wythcombe's former rival. Kabot and his followers keep slipping away from them, and the pack begins to suspect that Kabot has gained an ally from among its own members. Each failed attempt to catch him raises the stakes and strains the trust between the travelers, who must work out who among them can be believed while they keep following the blood mages across a land that is unfamiliar to both wolves and humans. Their teacher's history with Kabot makes the pursuit personal as well as dangerous.
