Synopsis
Roland's ka-tet continues its journey toward the Dark Tower and arrives at the farming village of Calla Bryn Sturgis, whose residents ask for their help against the Wolves of Thunderclap, raiders who arrive roughly once a generation to abduct one child from every pair of twins born in the village, with the Wolves due to return within a month. At the same time, Eddie and Jake are drawn through a magical door to 1977 New York, where they meet Calvin Tower, a bookstore owner whose vacant lot holds a rose that is tied, in some way not yet understood, to the Dark Tower itself. A crime boss named Enrico Balazar pressures Tower to sell the property to a mysterious corporation, putting the rose at risk.
