Synopsis
Zarsthor's Bane is set in the ravaged Dales of High Hallack in the years following the invasion of the Hounds of Alizon. Its protagonist, Brixia, has spent several years surviving alone after fleeing the fall of Moorachdale, living hand to mouth on the fringes of a land still scarred by war. Her path crosses that of Uta, and together the two women are drawn toward the edge of the Waste, the wild borderland home to the shape-shifting wereriders who once came to the aid of the Dales' lords against the invaders. Against a backdrop of half-healed battlefields, uncertain loyalties, and lingering fear of the enemy's return, Brixia must rely on her own hard-won resourcefulness as she and Uta make their way through the wilderness and the remnants of a broken land.
