Overview
A young-adult urban fantasy novel (2020) set in a Latino brujx community in East Los Angeles. Yadriel, a transgender brujo, performs an unauthorized ritual to prove his gender and magical standing to his traditionalist family, and accidentally summons the ghost of a recently murdered classmate instead of his missing cousin. Bound together until the ghost can be released, the two investigate the killing while a tentative romance develops.
