Overview
Everworld (1999-2001), written by Katherine Applegate and Michael Grant as K. A. Applegate and published by Scholastic, follows five high-school students, David, April, Christopher, Jalil and the witch Senna, after Senna is taken by the wolf Fenrir and the others are dragged after her into Everworld, an alternative world where the gods, monsters and peoples of humanity's mythologies, Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Aztec, Celtic and more, live on, alongside alien races such as the insectoid Hetwan and their god-eating deity Ka Anor. The protagonists exist in both worlds at once, living their ordinary lives whenever they fall asleep in Everworld, while they try to survive mad gods and their wars, keep evil creatures from opening a passage to our world and find a way home. Each book is narrated by one of the five.
