Overview

On a far-future colony world, a ruling class uses advanced technology and controlled reincarnation to impersonate the Hindu pantheon and keep the wider population subjugated, until one of their own turns against them as a figure resembling the Buddha. Roger Zelazny's second universe in this canon (alongside The Chronicles of Amber), confirmed a wholly separate setting with no shared characters or continuity.
