Overview

A completed high-fantasy trilogy set in the Elder Isles, a lost archipelago off the coast of medieval France, its warring kingdoms threaded through with faerie magic, sorcery, and political intrigue in Vance's characteristically ornate, ironic prose. A landmark of the genre's more baroque tradition, distinct in world and continuity from Vance's earlier Dying Earth.
