Overview
An alternate early-20th-century Cairo where a magical door opened decades earlier, flooding Egypt with djinn, angels, and other supernatural entities; a fledgling Ministry of Alchemy, Enchantments and Supernatural Entities investigates the resulting crimes. The universe has grown from a single short story into a novella and then a full novel, following overlapping investigators through escalating cases in the same continuity.
