Overview
The Hurricane Wars is a fantasy trilogy by Thea Guanzon, a writer from the Philippines, published by Harper Voyager from 2023 to 2026. It is set in a Southeast Asia-inspired world where the Night Empire of Emperor Gaheris fights the realm of Sardovia. Talasyn, an orphan soldier, hides light magic that threatens the Night Empire's shadow magic, and she is drawn into a rivalry and an uneasy alliance with the emperor's son Alaric, who wields shadow. The second book, A Monsoon Rising, follows their political marriage and a magical catastrophe called the Moonless Dark. The third and final book, This Shattered Tempest, was published in October 2026.
