Overview

Bernhard Hennen’s trilogy (2017 to 2019) is set on Cilia, an island of the world of Azuhr, a world said to be without magic, in a story of old prophecies and figures out of folk tales. Caught first in the conflict between the League of city-states and the dukes, and then between two great empires at war, the islanders’ fate becomes bound up with Milan and his father Nandus, an archpriest. The first volume won the 2019 Seraph for best book. It is a separate world from Hennen’s elf novels.
