Anselm Audley is a British fantasy writer born in 1982 (some sources say 1981). He is the son of the novelist Elizabeth Aston and was educated at Millfield School and St John's College, Oxford, where he read Ancient and Modern History. He began the Aquasilva novels as a schoolboy and, according to Wikipedia, finished the first at seventeen; Simon & Schuster UK reportedly paid one of the largest advances ever given to a new British fantasy author. The Aquasilva Trilogy (Heresy, Inquisition and Crusade) appeared from 2001 to 2003, followed by the sequel Vespera, first released electronically in 2007. He also wrote the short story Envoy (2013) for the Foreworld Saga and the non-fiction work The Day Democracy Died (2014).
