Synopsis

In the second volume of the trilogy, the Lands of Light are in danger once more. Morgriff, the dark power defeated at the end of A Filha dos Mundos, has recovered his strength and invaded, and the peace that Iruvienne's coming seemed to promise is broken. The title names a new figure in the conflict, and the peoples of Caladmiron, the elves, fairies, dwarves and gnomes who fight for a nature that lives and breathes in every page, must rally again around the Sceptre of Aerzis. Iruvienne, torn between the two worlds of her birth and the love she found among the People of Light, carries the trilogy's middle act toward the reckoning of the third volume.

Notes

  • From the series record (O Ceptro de Aerzis): Inês Botelho's Portuguese epic fantasy trilogy of Caladmiron and the Lands of Light, where elves, fairies, dwarves and gnomes defend a living nature against the darkness of Morgriff, and of Iruvienne, daughter of two worlds, who becomes their queen. Begun when the author was fifteen; a landmark of the 2000s wave of Portuguese fantasy.
