Synopsis

Another Fine Myth opens the series with Skeeve, a struggling apprentice magician from the backwater dimension of Klah, whose life is upended when an assassin and his own master kill each other in a single confrontation. Left alone, Skeeve is taken in by Aahz, a green-scaled demon from the dimension of Perv who has lost his own magical powers but agrees to become Skeeve's new mentor while the two dodge further assassination attempts. Their search for a way to stand against Isstvan, a dangerous Master Magician threatening to conquer other dimensions, takes them to the trading world of Deva, where Skeeve acquires a young dragon named Gleep and the pair meet Tananda, a former assassin who becomes an ally.
