Overview
Myth Adventures is Robert Lynn Asprin's comic fantasy series following Skeeve, an apprentice magician thrust into leadership of the mercenary-turned-diplomatic outfit M.Y.T.H. Inc. alongside his demon (technically Pervect) mentor Aahz, as they navigate interdimensional politics, cons, and magical mishaps across the many "myth" (dimension) that make up the setting. Beginning with Another Fine Myth in 1978, Asprin wrote ten core novels through 1993, mixing pun-heavy titles and farcical set pieces with a sprawling cast of dimension-hopping con artists, soldiers, and bureaucrats. The series was an early and influential example of comic fantasy built on light-hearted worldbuilding rather than parody of a single source, helping popularize the subgenre alongside contemporaries such as Terry Pratchett's Discworld. After Asprin's death, further Myth Adventures volumes were completed and continued by collaborator Jody Lynn Nye, extending the series well beyond its original ten-book run.
