Synopsis

Little Myth Marker is the sixth novel in the Myth Adventures series, continuing the story of the apprentice magician Skeeve and his demon partner Aahz. The plot centers on a crooked casino, where Skeeve becomes entangled in a high-stakes gambling scheme after being manipulated into playing against house odds meant to guarantee his loss. Rather than relying on the skill his opponents expect, Skeeve finds a way to reduce the contest to pure chance, a move that upends the casino operators' plan and creates unexpected trouble for those who set him up in the first place. As with earlier books, the story blends comic misadventure with Skeeve's gradual growth as a magician and schemer in his own right.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
