Synopsis
Hit or Myth is the fourth novel in the Myth Adventures series, again following the apprentice magician Skeeve and his demon mentor Aahz. In one notable episode, Skeeve is disguised as King Roderick and, in that guise, is called upon to settle a dispute between two subjects arguing over the ownership of a cat, a scene that plays on the classic tale of a wise ruler's judgment. As in the rest of the series, Skeeve's still-developing magical skill and Aahz's shrewd, dimension-hopping experience remain central to how the pair navigate the unfamiliar court and the risks of maintaining the king's disguise.
