Synopsis
Geralt searches for the missing Ciri amid a continent engulfed in war, assembling a band of companions along the way. With the kingdoms of the north locked in conflict against the Nilfgaardian empire and Ciri's whereabouts unknown after the chaos that scattered her from Geralt's side, he sets out across war-torn lands in search of her, gathering allies with their own reasons for joining his cause. The journey brings him into contact with soldiers, refugees and other travelers caught up in the fighting, as the search for Ciri becomes tangled with the wider upheaval reshaping the continent. First published in 1996, Baptism of Fire belongs to the The Witcher series.
