Synopsis

Bedlam, the twelfth Skulduggery Pleasant book, follows Valkyrie Cain on a perilous mission to recover her sister Alice's lost soul, a search that eventually leads her to confront the High Sanctuary directly. Meanwhile the young sorcerer Omen Darkly, still finding his footing after the events of Midnight, is thrust into an unexpected heroic role as the villain Abyssinia sets a catastrophic plan into motion. Over the course of a single night of magic, terror, and bloodshed, Valkyrie's search for Alice's soul and Omen's unwilling involvement in Abyssinia's scheme converge, drawing in allies across Roarhaven as the scale of the threat becomes clear. The book follows both plotlines as the characters try to contain the damage before it spreads further.
