Synopsis
Binti, a young Himba woman, returns to Earth after completing her first year at the off-world Oomza University, bringing along Okwu, an alien Meduse friend serving as an ambassador between their two peoples following the violent encounter that marked her journey out. Home again for a traditional Himba pilgrimage she is expected to complete, Binti must navigate deep tension within her own family, many of whom struggle to accept both her transformation and the alien companion she has brought with her. As old wounds from her journey resurface and mysterious forces from her past begin closing in, Binti finds that returning home is far more complicated, and more dangerous, than she expected it to be.
