Synopsis

This short story follows Binti, a young Himba mathematician from Earth who left home to study at a distant university among alien classmates, in a coda-style entry added to the trilogy's complete edition. It sits alongside the three core novellas that trace her journey off-world and the cultural and interspecies tensions she navigates afterward.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

• Publication order, within Binti (standalone work): position 4 of 5: previous Binti: The Night Masquerade (2018) · next Binti: The Complete Trilogy (2019)
