Synopsis
Blood Price introduces Victoria Nelson, a former Toronto police officer forced to leave the force after a degenerative eye condition compromised her vision, now working as a private investigator. After witnessing the brutal murder of a young man who has been drained of blood, Vicki is hired by his desperate girlfriend to look into the killing, a case the police are struggling to explain through ordinary means. Her investigation draws her into contact with Henry Fitzroy, an immortal vampire with his own long history and secrets, and the two form an uneasy alliance as the body count rises and the true, supernatural nature of the killer becomes impossible for Vicki to dismiss, launching the Blood Books series.
