Synopsis
Blood Promise is the fourth Vampire Academy novel, opening after Dimitri Belikov, once Rose Hathaway's mentor and love, has been turned into a Strigoi and has fled the Academy for his childhood home in Russia. Rose and Dimitri had once promised each other that if either of them were turned, the other would end their life rather than let them exist as an undead predator, and Rose now sets out alone, without official backing, to find him and keep that promise. Her search takes her to Siberia and into unfamiliar territory, where she has only fragments of information to go on and must rely on local contacts to track him down. Torn between grief, love, and duty, Rose is forced to confront what she is actually prepared to do if she finds him, all while staying largely cut off from Lissa and her life at St. Vladimir's.
