Synopsis

Political tensions escalate sharply across Ulldart as a former ruler of Tersion returns from exile determined to reclaim the power he lost, further destabilizing an already fractured continent. Off the western coast, a mysterious fleet of unidentified warships appears and clashes with the Kensustrian army, leaving the identity and true intentions of these foreign invaders unclear to everyone involved. Amid this widening conflict, Norina, the ruler of Tarpol, survives an assassination attempt that leaves her position more precarious than ever, while Lodrik comes to a belated understanding of his feelings for her even as circumstances threaten to make that realization come too late. Internal power struggles, a looming external invasion, and personal danger for the central characters all converge as the saga moves toward its final stretch.
