Synopsis
Casket of Souls is the sixth Nightrunner novel, finding Seregil and Alec settled back into their double life in the Skalan capital, posing as dissolute young nobles while continuing their covert work as the crown's spies. Their routine is disrupted when a mysterious plague begins spreading through the city just as evidence surfaces of a conspiracy reaching into the royal court. Investigating both threats at once, the pair must navigate the dangers of court intrigue alongside a disease whose cure may prove as dangerous as the illness itself, drawing them into the closed, competitive world of the city's theater houses along the way.
