Synopsis
Cerulean Sins is the eleventh novel in Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. As tensions rise among St. Louis's vampire power players, Anita takes the vampire Asher as a lover in a calculated move meant to help her outmaneuver Belle Morte, a formidable and dangerous rival Master whose reach threatens the fragile balance of power Jean-Claude has built in the city. The alliance with Asher offers Anita a measure of protection but also draws her further into the intricate political maneuvering of the vampire hierarchy, complicating her already crowded web of relationships and obligations. As the rivalry with Belle Morte's faction intensifies, Anita must rely on her growing understanding of vampire politics and her own expanding powers to keep herself, Jean-Claude, and their allies safe from a rival capable of matching them at their own game.
