Synopsis
The dragon elders give David Rain a task that will cost the life of a dragon he loves: he must destroy a spark of dark fire before it does harm. In Wayward Crescent, Arthur, Lucy and Liz travel to meet a man named Rupert Steiner after a clue points to Scuffenbury, a burial barrow said to hold a dragon. At home, the Pennykettles' neighbour Henry Bacon dies and leaves a will that affects David, Zanna and the Pennykettles. Meanwhile the sibyl Gwilanna is hunting for the dark fire and a piece of obsidian, and a new Dragon Age is beginning, with darklings and dragons both on the move.
