Synopsis
Five years have passed since the writer David Rain vanished in the Arctic. His daughter Alexa is growing up in Wayward Crescent, and life there has settled into something close to normal. Zanna, still grieving for David, has opened a New Age shop and lives with the Pennykettle family. Lucy, now older, meets a journalist who is investigating David's disappearance. As the climate worsens and the northern ice begins to melt, strange forces stir in the Arctic, and Alexa may hold the key to stopping a larger threat before dark powers reach her first. The story opens with the Earth spirit Gaia growing restless.
