Synopsis
Havald, the half-elf Leandra and their companions are stranded in the desert state of Bessarein while looking for allies against the destructive power of Thalak. Leandra is first captured by slave traders and has to be rescued. Afterwards the group is drawn into a dispute over who will succeed to the throne in the capital, Gasalabad. At the centre of the struggle lies a magical artefact, the Eye of Gasalabad, which several factions want to control and which the travellers cannot ignore if they hope to continue towards Askir.
