Synopsis
For centuries the Ostmark has held the realm against the tribes of the steppe. Now those tribes are gathering under the black banner of the Necromancer Emperor and threaten the Old Realm. Havald, who has returned, plans to unite the tribes with only a small group of loyal companions and to break the influence of the dead god over them. It is a task that depends on persuading peoples who have fought the realm for generations, and on doing so before the emperor's armies are ready to march.
