Synopsis
Leandra, Havald and their companions are trying to leave the exotic city of Gasalabad and continue their journey to the legendary Askir through a magical gate. They still need help against Kolaron, the cruel tyrant of Thalak, who threatens their homeland, and his influence reaches into Gasalabad itself. The group survives a series of assassination attempts and soon cannot tell whom to trust. Behind the attacks stands a mysterious opponent known as the Puppeteer, who pulls the strings of the city's intrigues and who seems to know every move the travellers make.
