Synopsis
Domes of Fire is the first book of David Eddings's Tamuli trilogy, a direct sequel to the Elenium trilogy that follows the same world several years later. Sparhawk, now Prince Consort to Queen Ehlana of Elenia, together with his longtime companions, undertakes a journey across two continents to reach Matherion, the distant capital of the Tamul Empire, after unsettling reports reach the west of strange and threatening supernatural occurrences within the empire's borders. As the group travels through unfamiliar lands and cultures on their way east, they begin to piece together the scope of the danger awaiting them, coming to understand that whatever is stirring in the Tamul Empire may not be a purely local problem but a threat capable of endangering the safety of the entire world, drawing Sparhawk once more into events far larger than himself.
