Synopsis
Dragons of a Fallen Sun opens the War of Souls trilogy in an era when the gods have withdrawn from Krynn and the continent lies divided among dragon overlords maintaining an uneasy peace. The dying warrior Caramon Majere sends the Solamnic knight Gerard and the time-displaced kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot to find the wizard Dalamar, leading them toward Qualinesti in search of Caramon's son Palin, who may know his whereabouts. The Qualinesti elves face destruction as their dragon ruler searches for a powerful artifact hidden in their land, while the exiled elf Alhana Starbreeze tries to breach the magical shield protecting the rival kingdom of Silvanesti, only for her son Silvanoshei to slip through it and be crowned king.
