Synopsis
Dragons of Spring Dawning concludes the Dragonlance Chronicles trilogy in the aftermath of the companions' failed campaign against the invading Dragonarmies. It opens with Tanis Half-Elven in the port town of Flotsam, where he has been posing as an enemy officer, before reuniting with Goldmoon, Riverwind, Tika, Caramon, and Raistlin while concealing the danger of his deception. The group attempts to escape across the Blood Sea of Istar by ship, but their enigmatic helmsman, a man called Berem, steers them toward a catastrophic whirlpool that scatters the companions across the war-torn world. Laurana, now risen to command as the Golden General, leads forces against the Dragonarmies, while Tanis and his remaining friends move to infiltrate the enemy stronghold of Neraka to rescue her and pursue an artifact that could alter the course of the war, all while Tanis hides his compromising ties to the Dragon Highlord Kitiara.
