Synopsis
Dragons of the Highlord Skies fills in events that occur during the original Dragons of Winter Night, following the Dragon Highlord Kitiara uth Matar as she works to corrupt the Knights of Solamnia by tempting the ambitious knight Derek Crownguard with knowledge of a magical Dragon Orb that she claims could help resist the invading armies. Derek's small company, which includes fellow knights Brian Donner and Aran Tallbow, and the Companions led by Tanis Half-Elven, Sturm Brightblade, the elven princess Laurana, Flint Fireforge, and Tasslehoff Burrfoot, both converge on the city of Tarsis while pursuing information about the Orb. First published in 2007, Dragons of the Highlord Skies belongs to the Dragonlance series.
