Synopsis

Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales, the third novel in Heather Fawcett's Emily Wilde series, follows Emily as she transitions from studying faerie lore as an outside scholar to living within a faerie court herself, having become engaged to Wendell Bambleby, the exiled king now reclaiming his throne in the realm known as Where the Trees Have Eyes. Ruling alongside Wendell places Emily amid treacherous faerie politics she once only observed from a safe scholarly distance, where old debts, rivalries, and the machinations of Wendell's stepmother complicate every decision. When a curse laid by that stepmother begins spreading sickness through the realm, Emily draws on both her academic expertise and her growing skill for faerie diplomacy to investigate its cause, even as Wendell's stepmother disappears under circumstances that only deepen the mystery threatening the kingdom.
