Overview

Emily Wilde is Heather Fawcett's complete cozy-academic fantasy trilogy about a brilliant, socially awkward dryadologist cataloguing faerie folklore across three novels: Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries (2023), Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands (2024), and Emily Wilde's Compendium of Lost Tales (2025). The first volume sends Emily to the remote Arctic village of Hrafnsvik to research the most elusive faeries for her scholarly work, where she is joined, and rivaled, by fellow academic Wendell Bambleby, later revealed to be an exiled faerie king; the second finds the pair in the Austrian Alps searching for a door back to his realm while pursued by assassins, as Emily maps the faerie realms and confronts the dangers of loving one of the Fair Folk; and the third follows Emily as Bambleby's faerie queen, unraveling a deadly curse laid by his stepmother amid the treacherous intrigues of his own court.
