Synopsis
Having learned troubling facts about what they are, the five orphans from the school are no longer sure whom to trust. Amelia comes from a higher dimension, Victor is a synthetic man who can rearrange the molecules of whatever is near him, and Vanity can find secret ways through walls. Each child holds a power that should not be able to exist alongside the others under one set of natural laws. Taken from their real parents and raised by supernatural guardians, they must learn to control what they can do and flee the people who kept them captive. Their escape leads them into a conflict between older powers whose nature they are only beginning to grasp.
