Synopsis

Giantslayer (2003) is the seventh novel in William King's Gotrek and Felix series. After a battle separates them from their companions, Gotrek and Felix are magically transported to the remote, fog-bound island of Albion, a place steeped in ancient secrets. There they encounter the high elf mage Teclis, who enlists their help in a race to prevent knowledge of the Old Ones, the mysterious beings who once shaped the world, from falling into the hands of servants of the Dark Gods. Stranded far from the Empire and thrown together with unfamiliar allies, Gotrek and Felix must navigate the island's dangers and its long-buried lore, with Felix once again left to chronicle events as his companion pursues whatever peril Albion has in store.

Notes

  • From the series record (Gotrek and Felix): A seven-novel tie-in sword-and-sorcery sequence (1999-2003) for a tabletop miniatures-game setting, following a dwarf monster-slayer and his human chronicler. The founding author's run is treated as its own complete, self-contained sequence; the same characters were later continued by several other, different authors in books not catalogued here.
