Synopsis

Vampireslayer (2001) is the sixth novel in William King's Gotrek and Felix series. Gotrek and Felix travel into the mist-shrouded, cursed realm of Sylvania after their companion Ulrika is abducted by a powerful, centuries-old vampire who intends to make her his bride. Pursuing the vampire into his own dark territory, the pair must contend with the ancient creature's supernatural power and the corrupted land surrounding his domain, all while broader threats gather against the Empire beyond Sylvania's borders. The rescue mission also strains the companions' own relationships and loyalties, as Gotrek and Felix are forced to rely on uneasy alliances and hard choices in unfamiliar, hostile territory to have any hope of freeing Ulrika from her captor.

Notes

  • From the series record (Gotrek and Felix): A seven-novel tie-in sword-and-sorcery sequence (1999-2003) for a tabletop miniatures-game setting, following a dwarf monster-slayer and his human chronicler. The founding author's run is treated as its own complete, self-contained sequence; the same characters were later continued by several other, different authors in books not catalogued here.
