Synopsis

Glamour in Glass, published by Mary Robinette Kowal in 2012, continues the Glamourist Histories after Shades of Milk and Honey. Jane and her new husband Vincent, both accomplished glamourists, travel to France for their honeymoon during a period of considerable political instability following the end of the Napoleonic Wars. Their plans are upended when Napoleon escapes his exile on Elba, plunging the continent back into crisis and leaving the couple stranded far from home with no easy route back to England. As tensions escalate around them, Vincent is imprisoned, forcing Jane to draw on her own glamour abilities and resourcefulness to attempt his rescue, testing the young marriage against dangers neither of them anticipated when they set out.
