Synopsis

Joanne Baldwin is a Weather Warden, one of a group of people who use their powers to hold back natural disasters. Accused of corruption and murder, she goes on the run in her Mustang, Delilah, while a dangerous storm approaches. Her one hope is Lewis Orwell, the most powerful Warden, who has disappeared after stealing three bottles that hold Djinn, supernatural beings who often partner with Wardens. Joanne must find him and learn what he knows, and along the way she uncovers truths that powerful people want kept hidden. The Wardens are an organization that rents space from the United Nations.
